We are enthusiastic runners who want to provide a great service to the local running community. We offer gait analysis, shoe fitting, running advice or just a friendly running chat. You can try various options on in store and have a short run to see how they feel. If you are new to running we can help guide you through testing and selecting shoes. If you are a seasoned runner then maybe there is something new worth trying which you might not have considered. Come and give us a try your feet will thank you for it!

The Mach X 3 has been designed for speedwork and features a PEBA-topped midsole for extra resilience, an increased rocker profile for an aggressive toe-off, and an extended Pebax plate for enhanced support and propulsion.

Warp Knit Upper

The Hoka Mach X 3 features a warp knit upper that provides breathable, lightweight support. This supportive knit material is exceptionally breathable, ensuring your feet remain cool, dry, and comfortable whether you're on an everyday run or pushing hard on race day. It effectively allows heat to escape during intense efforts, replacing it with cool, fresh air to maintain an optimal temperature for your feet. The Mach X 3 has been updated with a thicker, more padded collar to enhance comfort and prevent abrasion, ensuring a secure and pleasant feel. A traditional lacing system completes the upper, locking down the midfoot for a secure fit and preventing any in-shoe slippage.

Dual-Density Midsole

The Hoka Mach X 3 features a dual-density midsole with PEBA and EVA foams, providing exceptional cushioning and comfort. The highly resilient PEBA foam delivers soft cushioning with high-rebound properties to propel you forward. Alongside this, the EVA foam enhances comfort, while a Speed-centric MetaRocker creates a unique rocking chair effect, encouraging a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form and promotes an efficient, smooth roll for a faster toe-off. Sandwiched between the PEBA and EVA foams, a Pebax plate offers a propulsive feel and added support. Finally, cutouts underfoot reduce the shoe's weight.

Durabrasion Rubber Outsole

The Durabrasion rubber outsole of the Mach X 3 is designed to provide excellent grip and traction on various surfaces. This durable outsole ensures you have reliable traction in high-wear areas, keeping you in firm control across different terrains for extended periods. It forms a solid bond with the ground, anchoring you in place for a strong and controlled running experience. The Mach X 3 also features an outsole that helps reduce excess rubber, thereby lowering the overall weight of the shoe.

Complete novice to running, came to the shop and guided me to my perfect running shoes. Explained and analysed my running style so that I would find the best shoe. Now started my journey as a runner with no issues like knee or ankle pains. Probably the best running shop in the north! Thank you and highly recommended. My first visit here to buy some running shoes and the service was excellent. The lady who looked after me took note of my requirements and offered up different trail shoes to try on. I also got to try them outside the shop too. The fit process was good and I found I needed a slightly wider shoe, something I wouldn't have known by buying online
